Bert Witherspoon is a seasoned healthcare executive and strategic advisor who has spent more than two decades inside the real engine rooms of American healthcare. His leadership spans multi-site medical groups, surgery centers, hospitals, EMS systems, and academic institutions — experience that gives him a rare, 360-degree understanding of how patients want to be cared for, how clinicians think, and how healthcare businesses actually function in the wild. 

As the Founder and Managing Partner of Triaxiom Advisors, Bert helps physician-led practices and healthcare organizations cut through the fog of complexity and reclaim clarity. He blends clinical insight with operational rigor, using disciplined strategy, data-driven decision architecture, and human-centered leadership coaching to stabilize operations, drive margin, and unlock momentum. His work is built on a simple truth: when leaders gain clarity, the entire organization breathes easier.

Before launching Triaxiom Advisors, Bert served as Chief Operating Officer for a multi-site ophthalmology group and ambulatory surgery center, where he strengthened operational performance, expanded surgical capacity, improved EBITDA, reorganized HR systems, and developed strategic plans aligned to ownership vision. He has also scaled market operations for large health systems, led service-line turnarounds, guided multi-hospital growth strategies, and directed a multi-state EMS organization through years of profitable expansion. 

Bert’s experience is distinctly dual-sided — executive and clinical. As a licensed paramedic for more than 25 years and an educator of future clinicians, he understands the frontline realities that shape patient experience and team culture. As an adjunct professor of graduate Healthcare Finance at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, he teaches emerging leaders how to see the financial engine beneath the clinical mission. And as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, he brings board-level discipline to every engagement.
